Longitudinal section of long bone (femur) showing the compact bone and spongy (cancellous) bone. Notice the trabeculae of spongy bone aligning along stress lines. Annotated version here.
Another specimen of long bone, l.s. showing the same compact bone and spongy bone organization within the long bone.
I would like to know where you purchased the l.s. of the long bone. We use it as model in one of our exercises. I haven’t been able to find a vendor that makes one. Do you know of one?

I am sorry I don’t know the answer to that. This l.s. model has been at this school for a long time. One of the online vendors is called skullsunlimited.com but even then I didn’t see an l.s. prep on that website.
